William Pope, who most recently served as acting coordinator for counterterrorism reporting directly to the secretary and deputy secretary of state, has been posted to such locations as Rome, The Hague, and Pretoria. A graduate of the University of Virginia, Mr. Pope, now a senior officer of a private professional services provider, talks about the state of security in our homeland.
